Small-Engine Maintenance, Checked Against the Manual
Most "how often should I change the oil" answers online are a guess. The real answer is printed in your owner's manual, and the manuals do not always agree with each other. This site does the reading for you: every guide states the answer first, gives the steps, and links the exact manufacturer document it came from so you can check it yourself.
How we work
- We start from the official owner's manual or the manufacturer's support page for the engine or machine.
- Where two manufacturers disagree (they often do on fuel storage and pump oil), we show both and explain who each instruction applies to.
- We do not publish a capacity, torque value, gap or interval unless it appears in a source we link.
- If your manual says something different from a general guide, your manual wins. We say so on every page.
