Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Manual Matters collects when you visit and how it is used. Last updated 29 October 2026.

Information we collect

• Server and hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time of request in order to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's own privacy policy for how it handles this data.
• Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply and to correct our pages.
• Search performance data. We use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, which report aggregated search data (queries, clicks, impressions). These reports do not identify individual visitors to us.

What we do not do

• We do not run advertising on this site and we do not use advertising cookies.
• We do not sell, rent or share personal information.
• We do not require accounts, and there are no comment forms.

Cookies

The site itself does not set cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect against abuse. If we ever add analytics or advertising, we will update this policy before doing so and describe the cookies involved and your choices.

Children

This site is intended for adults maintaining their own equipment. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to delete any email correspondence you have sent. Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to know, delete or correct personal information. Contact us through the contact page to make a request.
